This week, 70 of our reading coaches in Seattle and Highline are graduating from high school and will soon begin their next big adventure. While we can’t celebrate with them in person, we’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge their hard work and commitment to helping young students become great readers.
Several of our seniors joined the program in 8th grade, which means they have been with Team Read for nearly one-third of their lives! Over the years we’ve watched them create a close bond with their student readers, develop important new skills, and become strong, compassionate leaders who are ready to take on the world. The Team Read staff created this short video to thank all our amazing teen coaches for their work this year. Congrats!

Life After Graduation
2020 Senior Survey results, 36 respondents
- 97% will attend a 2- or 4-year degree program this fall
- 45% will be the first in their family to attend college
- 30% are interested in the healthcare field, followed by education and science (16.7% each)
- 47% have received scholarships and awards, including several College Bound Scholarships
